Harrison Cove Milford Sound, 2023

This 300mm acrylic on canvas painting is a view from the boat in the overnight Milford Sound tour - only accessible by boat, there are penguins nesting onshore and I wanted to capture the emerald deep green water colour.  Milford Sound has about 1-2m of fresh water sitting on top of the salt water so it has a very unique ecosystem under the water.

This 300mm acrylic on canvas painting is a view from the Fiordland area in Southland NZ.  I started with a pastel painting of this one and then progressed to canvas, and kept the natural colours of the distant steep hills aswell as the lighter greenery of the beech trees.
