Vibrant Kea

My latest painting on Rimu - here I drew a NZ Kea mid flight.

I think one of the beautiful features of the NZ Kea is the bright vibrant underwing plumage which flashes when they reveal their colours in flight. Many who meet the otherwise dark green camouflaged bird will know he has many skills under his wing. The NZ Kea is quite a bird!
