I like my paintings to show a beautiful story of the sea, and the feelings we get as we arrive and the weather is inviting with the moving sparkling pacific ocean, or distant spray of the Tasman sea.   I let the foliage show clues about the prevailing wind directions or seasons, and I may add man-made structures or footprints to show how people have contributed to the place; then I allow viewers to create or remember their own stories to connect with the art.
